Legal
Terms of service
These terms apply to every WPLogbook account, free or paid. They sit together with our data processing agreement, our privacy statement and, if you joined it, the Founding Crew terms. We’ve written them in plain words; where something is legal for a reason, we say why.
Last updated 31 October 2026
1. Who we are, and who this is for
These terms are an agreement between you and WP Logbook (“we”). WPLogbook is a service of WP Logbook, Pastoor Jansstraat 5, 6658 AZ Beneden-Leeuwen, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 84342145.
WPLogbook is made for businesses: agencies, freelancers and companies that look after WordPress sites. By creating an account you confirm you’re using it for your work, not as a private consumer, and that you may agree to these terms on behalf of your business. You accept them when you create your account; we show them to you before you do.
2. Your account
- Give us correct details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your login safe and switch on two-step verification. Tell us straight away if you think someone else got in.
- You decide who in your team gets access, and you’re responsible for what they do in your account.
3. The service
WPLogbook records what happens on the WordPress sites you connect, shows it on one timeline, and lets you act on it: update, roll back, hold updates and report to clients. A site only sends data after you install our plugin and connect it yourself.
We keep improving WPLogbook. Features marked as beta are there to try and may change or stop. We won’t remove a core part of your plan without telling you 60 days ahead.
4. Plans, prices and payment
- The free plan covers up to 3 sites with 30 days of history. Paid plans are priced per connected site per month, as shown on wplogbook.com. All prices exclude VAT.
- We bill monthly in advance, or yearly if you choose that. Sites you add during a month are billed from the day you add them.
- We may change regular prices with at least 60 days’ notice. Prices we’ve promised to lock, like the Founding Crew price, never change.
- If an invoice stays unpaid 14 days after a reminder, we may pause the paid features. Your record stays safe and readable while we sort it out.
5. Tally, the AI assistant
Tally reads the record of your own sites and helps you make sense of it. Running it costs us money for every request, so its work comes in two parts.
- Always included, no limit: the work Tally does by itself when something happens. That’s the incident summary, the likely cause and suggested action, the draft message to your client, and the text in your monthly reports.
- Included up to a fair allowance: questions you ask Tally yourself. Paid plans get 25 questions per site per month, shared across all sites in the account; the free plan gets 10 per month in total. Unused questions don’t carry over.
At 80% of your allowance we tell you in the app. If you run out, Tally keeps doing all its automatic work; only new questions wait until next month. We never charge you automatically for more.
Tally suggests; a human decides. It never changes a site or sends a message by itself, and its answers can be wrong, so check them before you act on them or send them on. Everything Tally writes is marked as written by Tally. You can switch Tally off per site or for your whole account; the rest keeps working and your price stays the same. How Tally handles personal data is set out in the data processing agreement.
6. Fair use
- Only connect sites you’re allowed to manage, for yourself or for a client who has asked you to.
- Don’t try to break into WPLogbook, test its security without our written permission, or overload it on purpose.
- Don’t use WPLogbook for anything illegal, or to record people on sites in ways the law doesn’t allow.
If you break these rules, we may pause the account involved. We’ll tell you why and give you the chance to put it right, unless the risk is too urgent to wait.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep the WPLogbook app available 99.9% of the time each month, and we announce planned maintenance in advance on our status page. This is a goal, not a guarantee with compensation, unless you have a separate service agreement with us. If the app is down, your sites keep running: the plugin keeps the newest entries and sends them as soon as it can reach us again.
Support is by email. We reply within two working days, faster for anything that keeps a site down.
8. Your data, and your clients’ data
- The record of your sites belongs to you and your clients, not to us. You can export it in an open format whenever you want.
- When we process personal data in that record, we do so as your processor, under our data processing agreement. That agreement is part of these terms.
- Handing a site’s record over to another agency or owner only happens when you, and the site’s owner where needed, approve it in the app.
- Anonymous statistics. We combine statistics from all accounts, such as update results, error rates, uptime and response times, into anonymous totals. We use them to run Update Weather and to build benchmarks for the WordPress sector. Before anything is combined, we remove personal data and anything that points to you, your clients or your sites, and we only show a figure when at least 10 accounts contribute to it. This is on by default. You can switch it off in your account settings, and Update Weather keeps working for you.
- Benchmark reports. If you opt in, you get reports that compare your sites with the benchmark, for example your update success rate or recovery time against similar agencies. Because these reports compare you with others, they’re only available while your own statistics are included.
9. Who owns what
We own the WPLogbook service, its design and its name. The WordPress plugin is open source under the GPL, like WordPress itself. You own your content and your record. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve WPLogbook without owing you anything for it, though we’ll gladly say thank you.
10. Liability
- We do our best to keep WPLogbook correct and available, but software can fail. Keep your own backups of the sites you manage.
- Updates, rollbacks and other actions run because you or your team choose to run them. Check Tally’s suggestions and Update Weather’s advice before you act on them.
- Our total liability per year is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. We’re not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit or lost revenue.
- These limits don’t apply if we caused the damage on purpose or through gross negligence.
11. Ending your account
- You can cancel any month; your plan runs until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- We may end an account with 60 days’ notice, or straight away after a serious breach of these terms or of the law.
- After an account ends, you have 30 days to export your record. Then we delete it, as described in the data processing agreement.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we tell you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before that date. Locked prices and promises in the Founding Crew terms don’t change.
13. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. If we can’t solve a disagreement together, the competent court in the district of Gelderland (Rechtbank Gelderland) decides. If these terms and another document from us disagree, the data processing agreement wins on personal data, and the Founding Crew terms win on Founding Crew prices.
