Privacy
What we do with your data
Short version: we ask for as little as we can, keep it in the EU, use no cookies, and delete it when we no longer need it. This page covers wplogbook.com, its forms and your WPLogbook account. What the plugin records on your clients’ sites is covered in our data processing agreement.

Who we are
WPLogbook is a service of WP Logbook, Pastoor Jansstraat 5, 6658 AZ Beneden-Leeuwen, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 84342145. You can reach us about privacy at privacy@wplogbook.com.
What we collect, and why
When you apply for the Founding Crew
- What
- Your work email, the number of client sites you look after, and the language of the page you used.
- Why
- To review your application and reply to it.
- Basis
- Taking steps at your request before a contract (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
- Kept for
- Until 12 months after the Founding Crew closes, or until you ask us to delete it.
When you join the plugin waitlist
- What
- Your email address.
- Why
- To send you one email on the day the free plugin is live.
- Basis
- Your consent (article 6(1)(a)). Every email has a link to withdraw it.
- Kept for
- Until we’ve sent that email. Then we delete it from the list.
When you visit the site
- What
- Counts of page views and of the sites that linked to us, measured on our own server, without cookies and without anything that identifies you. Our servers keep short technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site safe.
- Why
- To learn which parts of the page help people, and to stop abuse.
- Basis
- Our legitimate interest in a working, safe site (article 6(1)(f)).
- Kept for
- Counts are kept as totals only. Server logs are deleted after 14 days.
If you have a WPLogbook account
For your own account we are the controller. The data in your sites’ records is yours to control; we process it for you under the data processing agreement.
Your account and team
- What
- Name, work email and role of each team member, login times and IP address, two-step verification settings, and how you use the app (which pages and features, not what’s in your records).
- Why
- To give you access, keep your account safe, provide support and improve WPLogbook.
- Basis
- Performing our contract with you (article 6(1)(b)); for security logs and product improvement, our legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f)).
- Kept for
- As long as your account exists, then deleted within 30 days. Security logs are kept for 12 months.
Billing
- What
- Company name, address, VAT number, billing contact and invoices. Card or bank details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
- Why
- To invoice you and keep our books.
- Basis
- Our contract (article 6(1)(b)) and our legal obligation to keep accounts (article 6(1)(c)).
- Kept for
- 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
Emails from us
- What
- Service emails: alerts, reports, invoices and changes to our terms. Product news only if you opt in.
- Basis
- Our contract for service emails; your consent for news, which you can withdraw in every email.
What we don’t do
- No tracking cookies, pixels or advertising networks. Inside the app we only use the cookie that keeps you signed in.
- No fonts or scripts from Google or other third parties. Everything loads from our own servers.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it to train AI models.
- No AI reads what you type in our forms. People at WPLogbook do.
Who helps us
We use a small number of processors, all based in the EU, with a data processing agreement: hosting (TransIP) and email (Lettermint), plus Mollie for payments. We count visits on our own server, so no analytics company sees your visit. The full list is on our security page. Your data does not leave the European Economic Area.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email privacy@wplogbook.com and we’ll answer within one month. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above. If you applied, joined the waitlist or have an account, we’ll also tell you by email.
